salutations!

Hello and welcome! I'm not great at introductions...or conversations...or hugs. But I'm glad you're here. In a nutshell, I'm an author and plant nerd. I am the flower farmer and florist behind Melmac Florals in Brentwood, TN. In my spare time, I write about my life experiences: raising a child with autism, a lifelong battle with depression and anxiety, faith, family, marrying my high school sweetheart. In 2022, I signed a publishing contract for my first memoir, Cucumbers in Heaven. I haven't been given a release date yet. A couple of my essays have been published in literary journals, and you can find links to these on the Resource page. You can also check out a few of my blog posts; I write new ones on a very irregular basis.

I've been working on these stories for three years, and I cannot wait to share them with you! My hope is that many of you will read my words and realize you are not alone.
