Welcome to Melmac Florals!
Welcome to Melmac Florals! I am a flower farmer and florist in the Nashville, TN area. I started out as a hobby gardener years ago and I now have two decades of growing experience. During the pandemic, I consumed every book, podcast, and video about growing and arranging flowers I could find and spent hours practicing my floral arrangement skills. After nine years working in a retail greenhouse in Nashville, I decided to turn this passion for flowers into a career!
The flowers used in my creations are all grown on my property in Brentwood, TN. It is my mission to use only seasonal, locally grown flowers. Melmac Florals is operational during our zone 7 growing season, between the months of March and October. I've put together this month-by-month spreadsheet of available flowers and fillers. Strictly using the flowers I grow reduces my carbon footprint because I don’t need to have flowers flown in from around the globe. I can also be confident that the flowers I'm working with haven't been treated with pesticides. I promote design that uses flowers in season to match a client's color palette instead of focusing on a desired flower that would have to be shipped if it is out of season. I strive to be foam-free because floral foam is loaded with harmful chemicals.
I offer bouquet subscriptions (find out more by going to my shop) and I can fill special orders with a minimum of 48 hours' notice. I'm available for small weddings and events. I can take care of all of your floral needs or offer wedding florals a la cart. If you are a DIY bride, I can provide buckets of flowers and fillers. This is currently a one-woman show, so if you are a bride with a huge floral budget or have your heart set on using dozens of roses, I may not be the best fit for you. Whatever the occasion, I'd love to help you celebrate with flowers! For orders, pricing info, availability, or any questions you may have, please contact me via the form below.
